From Cup to Compost: Steampunk Coffee’s Sustainable Journey

This year along with Andy Peasgood, we visited a unique, single origin coffee house called Steampunk Coffee in North Berwick, who take sustainability to the next level.

Steampunk was founded in 2012, when they began roasting coffee in their garage and serving it at events from their vintage campervan Mavis. They quickly outgrew this setup and moved into an old warehouse building in the centre of North Berwick where they have continued to roast and serve their coffees to this day.

Working with Decent Packaging, you can have your coffee served to you in a compostable coffee cup & lid, which then goes on to be recycled into our renowned Green Goodness compost and then onwards into your gardens.

Regular visitors to our East Fenton site, Steampunk continue to contribute to our compost and it really shows that there is so much more to composting and being environmentally friendly when you see the benefits from it at home in the garden or out in everyday life.
