We visited Gillian from Aberlady in East Lothian, who has been using our Kelpie Compost in her garden.
Gillian’s garden had nothing when she first arrived nearly six years ago, and she has faced several challenges since then, including dealing with the concrete that the garden was built on and having to remove a driveway and garage.
Being a coastal garden Gillian also has to cope with high winds and adapt her garden to this sometimes harsh environment.
Gillian’s garden has a heavy focus on increasing and sustaining wildlife and has various plants and flowers that cater to bees, ladybirds, toads, goldfinches, sparrows, wagtails, and hedgehogs.
Gardening can be extremely challenging in harsh weather, especially along the coast, and Gillian has done an outstanding job at developing her outdoor space.
